As a young player, I believe I was fortunate to get the opportunities to showcase my talent and climb the ladder to footballing excellence and represent my country. However, I am cognizant of the current unhealthy state of professional and youth football in India. I feel it is my duty to undertake this responsibility to bring a fundamental change and ensure the young talent is nurtured in the best possible manner. Indian Football Foundation is a step in this direction – as it will provide those opportunities to the most talented players irrespective of their socio-economic background
Workshops & Tournaments
The first step towards the development of the sport in general is to generate interest among the youth towards football. We organize free 1-day workshops, youth tournaments and leagues across North India to engage young kids to participate and thereafter love the game.
Scouting Network, Youth Tournaments and Camps
Through strategic collaboration with BhaichungBhutia Football Schools, United Sikkim FC, Garhwal Football Club, SAIL Football Academies, NGO partnerships and through an extended network of scouts – IFF aims to bring together the best talent from different parts of India.
Scholarship Programs & Technical Knowhow
IFF is working towards achieving holistic football development in India for a sustainable talent incubation model. IFF aims to achieve this through strategic corporate and government partnerships, developing young human capital into world class football coaches and nurturing talented players to become world class professionals.
We help underprivileged young footballers realize their potential by raising funds to grant them 100% training scholarships to avail them quality football education at BBFS. Over 100 talented scholars have been scouted and are given free training in Delhi/NCR, Mumbai, Chandigarh and Jammu.
We provide continuous education and exposure to interested coaches by giving them state-of-the-art professional football training. Various coaches education programs are organized on a regular basis with help from the All India Football Federation, Delhi Soccer Association and BhaichungBhutiaFootball Schools.
IFF - through its network of various NGOs and government schools - conducts regular workshops and youth tournaments to identify talented players from all sections of society.
IFF monitors the physical well-being of all our scholars and makes sure that they are in the best physical condition, with medical intervention when needed. Recently, one of our scholars underwent a liver transplant surgery - which was funded through the foundation as well as support from concerned parents.
IFF actively helped raise money for the installation of a 5-a-side artificial turf in Mangan in North Sikkim. The futsal turf was part of a rehabilitation project post the severe 2011 Sikkim Earthquake that was carried out of under the aegis of the United Sikkim FC & Sikkim Express Earthquake Relief Fund.
Indian Football Foundation organized a 3 day coaches and kids football camp in Mumbai with coaches from Real Madrid Foundation (Madrid, Spain) at the SomaiyaVidyavihar Sports Complex for the local football coaches and underprivileged kids coming from various orphanages across Mumbai.
